Neuromuscular Therapy ( NMT)

New Zealand therapists are typically taught the Paul St John (US) method of Neuromuscular Therapy. Neuromuscular Therapy NMT is based on balancing the nervous system with the musculoskeletal system and searches for the underlying causes of long standing pain. Neuromuscular Therapy treatments aim to release muscle spasm and trapped nerves, eliminate trigger points (which cause referred pain), and so restore alignment, good biomechanics and flexibility. Neuromuscular Therapy is beneficial for the treatment of many painful dysfunctions including scoliosis, headache, OOS and chronic back, jaw and neck pain
